Walter is an Army veteran, an ex-convict, an artist, a Jehovah’s Witness and a deep thinker.  He was homeless off and on for eight year but  in September 2014 he received help from the Veterans Administration and moved into a rooming house he shares with two other veterans.

The video “Walter’s Walk” by Jagmeet Mac tells some of Walter’s story; his story was also the inspiration for a song on the recent Healing Blues CD.
